Research: The main aim of the dissertation is to identify the principles and limits of the implementation of geographic information systems (GIS) in teaching from the teacher's perspective.
Based on the obtained information will be created a suitable model of GIS teaching at the university preparation of students of geography teaching, or courses for further teacher´s education. This step should lead to the remov one of the barriers to the implementation of GIS in the teaching of geography, which is the insufficient education of teachers or their low interest in the issue.
